Better Then Selling Candy Comedy Show & Fundraiser
Hard Water Bar and Grill and Sullivan High School presents
BETTER THEN SELLING CANDY COMEDY SHOW & FUNDRAISER!
This event will take place on Saturday August 26th and will be featuring 3 AMAZING comedians who get there start right here in Chicago. Sydney Adeniyi will be hosting, Abi Sanchez will be opening, and Meechie Hall will be our headliner. This will be a night full of drinking, eating, and laughing our a$$ off.
What makes this event even better you ask?!?!? ITS FOR A GREAT CAUSE! We are working with the amazing Andrea Graham on this project. Andrea is a special education paraprofessional at Sullivan High School. She just got done raising money and building an incredible kitchen for their autism program. Hard Water will be teaming up with these students to help teach them the basics of safety, sanitation, cooking, and baking.
The goal is to help these students become independent and be able to prepare the own meals, safely of course!
Sullivan High School has had some budget & funding cuts & we want to make sure they are able to keep up the amazing work. Hopefully with this event & your support we will not only raise awareness but money for this incredible program. Details for this event are below; it’s going to be a good one!

Sydney (host) Bio:
Sydney Adeniyi is a Nigerian-American comedian from Belleville IL, a small city near St. Louis MO. At an early age, Sydney found a knack for making people laugh by improvising jokes for friends and family. He took his talent to stage a few years after graduating college. Now, he startles audience’s funny bone with satirical and curious material with a touch of mischief. Sydney’s likable, relaxed and engaging comedy breaks the mold while being uniquely original and fun.
Sydney appeared on the TV show Laugh Out Loud St. Louis, the movie Sad Café, and ABC’sWindy City Live. He was featured at Laugh Your Asheville off comedy festival and won “The Best of The Best” Chicago comedy contest. You can catch Sydney touring his Comedy Special, on Internet Radio, and on TV & Commercials.

Abi’s Bio
Taking a comedy workshop with comedic legend Rich Ramirez was all Abi Sanchez needed to realize that comedy is what he wanted to do. Abi hit the stage in 2010 and hasn’t stopped since. His views on family life, relationships, social media and life’s vices have all been formed by a childhood of too much TV and not enough guidance. His mellow demeanor and stage presence captivate audiences which has allowed Abi to form a category all his own. He has related to audiences from the city streets of Chicago to deep rural parts of the Midwest. Leaving many impressed with what he has been able to do in a short amount of time, Abi has positioned himself as one of the up and coming comics to watch out for.
Meechie’s Bio:
Meechie Hall’s comedy is the truth mixed with a whole lot of faith. He trained in improv and writing at Second City, but got his comedic roots in Chicago’s underground scene. It’s the best of both worlds which makes his comedy suitable for all ages, races or financial statuses. Known for his ignorant genius, business savvy and creative freshness… he was born to be great!
